Half my family's ancestors were from Mexico. I began visiting in the mid-90's and made my home there in 2006. The country is filled with contrasts between tradition and modernity, defying characterization. Beauty and banality coexist. The influence of ancient cultures on today's people is evident in the most enigmatic of ways, making its capture a delight. |
